Josh Marino is an exceptionally experienced, traveled, and knowledgeable attorney. Lawyers with his background are often found arguing cases on behalf of multimillion — if not multi-billion — dollar corporations. There came a point, however, where Josh decided that he wanted to do something more. “I left a world of defending companies for a simple reason,” he mused, “I want to make a positive impact in individuals’ lives.” His extensive experience with maritime law means that he understands both the complexity of the issues and the severity of the injuries at hand. “Maritime workers serve an important role in our communities and our country as a whole. Every day, I look forward to helping people keep their lives together.” Josh had realized that defending companies was far less fulfilling than helping individuals regain their independence, their abilities, and their spirit.
Josh’s experience on both sides of the court has proven invaluable to both his individual clients and The Young Firm as a whole. He brings the same calculated, knowledgeable ferocity he used for ten years to fight for corporations to bear for his individual clients, using his deep understanding of the law and his compassion for the injured to make powerful arguments before the court. Since 2017, Josh has repeatedly proven himself an asset to both The Young Firm and injured maritime workers across the Gulf Coast. He is also a member in good standing of both the Louisiana Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice.
In his spare time, Josh feeds his appetite for new experiences by traveling with his wife, Amanda, and their daughter, Cecile. He is, however, a New Orleanian at heart, and is equally comfortable at home rooting for the Saints or LSU, or taking advantage of the city’s smorgasbord of live music and abundant festivals.
