This is your case, not ours.
That statement sounds obvious but when I read other law firm websites, their messaging says that they view a case as “their” property, something they control and decide how it will be best resolved. We believe in representing the whole person, not just the case. We see each client and each case as a unique experience and situation.
We focus on your claim. We explain what you will go through from the time you hire us until the time we may obtain a recovery for you. Most clients come in to see us full of questions and uncertainty:
- How do I get medical treatment?
- How does this process even work?
- How long will it take?
- How will I pay you?
- What exactly will I have to do in the case?
- How much do you think I may recover? etc.
We know that when you’re going through a severe injury case, you’re not just dealing with physical pain; you’re also dealing with emotional pain. That’s why we take the time to listen to our clients, understand their needs, and provide them with the support and guidance they need to make the best decisions for themselves and their families. We believe in empathy and understand what you may be going through.
Many years ago, an offshore worker came to see my father and I. He had been badly hurt in an oil rig accident. We talked for over an hour. During that time, we asked question after question about how he got hurt, who may have been responsible, how his medical treatment was going, what concerns he and his family had at the time. I’ll never forget when he left, he thanked us and said many lawyers he had met with had simply told him all about the large cases they had handled and how much money they had obtained. We asked him about his case.
