30 years of practice have taught me that most cases are about more than just the money involved. Our clients have been physically hurt and many need serious medical treatment, including surgeries. Families are starting to argue more than before. Physically, our clients have not yet begun to heal. And on top of dealing with the the physical injury, they feel emotionally drained and hurt. 

In our society it is natural to think money will solve all problems, but our cases usually run deeper than that. Money does become a big source of stress, but I believe it’s really the uncertainty of their future that is creating this stress.

Now don’t get me wrong. We have obtained many large settlements for our clients through the years. But what our clients say they find most beneficial at the end of their case and journey is the emotional guidance we were able to provide and their new-found peace of mind.  If you have not been through a severe injury case, you won’t believe that statement. But it’s true. 

I have said countless times in our office that we get paid some of our fee for the legal expertise and trial talent we have, but we also get paid a portion of our fee for the emotional support and caring we show our clients during their cases.  Lots of lawyers and law firms can obtain a high settlement for a seriously injured client, but the really good ones help that client feel better about themselves and their future at the end of their case.
